The Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) is a six-year professional doctoral degree focused on clinical practice, patient-oriented care, and medication therapy management rather than drug manufacturing, combining five years of coursework with a mandatory hospital internship year.
About The Program
Years 1-3 cover core sciences like Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, and Pharmacology;
Years 4-5 move into clinical settings via ward rounds, patient counselling, and drug therapy monitoring at tied-up hospitals;
Year 6 is hands-on hospital internship.
Eligibility: 10+2 (Science) with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or Mathematics, via merit or entrance exams.
Diploma in Pharmacy holders enter Year 2 directly, Bachelor of Pharmacy certificate holders complete in 3 years.
Graduates earn the “Dr.” prefix and work closely with medical teams as Clinical Pharmacists advising on safe drug usage, in Pharmacovigilance monitoring adverse reactions, as Medical Writers drafting regulatory content, or as Clinical Research Associates managing clinical trials.
